Co-curricular Record (CCR)
What is it: Rewarding extra curricular activities these could include: Beyond the classroom How to buddy Society executives How does it work: Time frame: 6 months for journalists, photographers and online journalist 9 months for all editors including graphic designers

New Rules If you do not submit on the deadline without a valid excuse, a written warning will be issued. If you do not submit on time for a second time, as required you will be issued with a letter of dismissal and asked to leave the team and will not receive a co-curricular referral signed by the VC. If you have not submitted articles for a period of 3 months or longer your contract will be terminated immediately. If you don’t attend meetings or issue written excuses for late or no submissions more than 3 times you will be asked to leave the team. Anyone who has produced work less than 4 editions do not qualify for CCR

Ubuntu Education Fund Need: journalism or photography students to volunteer and assist learners understand basic photography and writing skills. Aim: to introduce practical skills, team work and social interaction. Start date 1 February 2018, 12:30-13:30, Walmer Methodist Church Need: Basic sentence structure, reading with learners and one or two students willing to prepare a lesson each week as one class has no teacher. 5 classes of grade 3 learners and each class needs 4 assistants Every Thursday
