Construction of the Berlin Wall
Use the timeline of the Leaders and cut out and add on details about the events that occurred during the time they were in power
The US would attempt to contain communism to stop it spreading to Western Europe and around the world

Look over the 3 key crises; Berlin, Cuba, Czechoslovakia. In paragraphs explain how important they were on relations between the USA and Soviet Union. Remember to include impact as well.
KEY TOPIC 1 – The Origins of the Cold War Create a timeline of the events including facts
Create a set of Revision cards with Key events/dates/people on one side and the definition of these on the opposite.
KEY TOPIC 3 The End of the Cold War
Create a set of questions and answers for the following events
Détente, SALT I, Helsinki Agreements, SDI, NUTS, Gorbachev, Moscow Olympics, Afghanistan, Glasnost, Periostroika, Sinatra Doctrine, Evil Empire, START, Carter Doctrine, Summit Conferences
