Computers 101 Folders management – Where is my stuff? 1.Right-click “My Computer” 2. Click “Open” 3. Right-click on your “P” drive and click “Open”

2 You’ll see something like this:
If you will click” File, New, and select “Folder”, you just made a new folder. If you right-click it, you can rename it.

3 To Delete a Folder, or a File from a Folder, click on it, and press “Delete” on your
keyboard. To rearrange documents in your folder, click on a document, drag and drop it into a folder that you need.

4 Printer Troubleshooting – It Didn’t Print!
1.Click “Start”, “Printers and Faxes 2. Your Default printer will have a checkmark. 3. Right-click on a printer you want to be your default printer and click “Set as default printer”.

5 Troubleshooting the Printer:
1.Go to “Start”, “Printers and Faxes” 2. Double-click your default printer. 3. The pop-up window will show your print jobs. You can click on one and delete it.

6 More troubleshooting the Printer
Check if you are printing to the correct printer. Check if the printer has paper. Check if it’s turned on. Check for paper jam. Call the tech support.

7 How to manage Microsoft Word
1. It is convenient to use Print Preview before printing: saves paper. 2. After previewing, just click “Close”.

8 Unless you need an entire document, specify “Current Page”,
or the range of pages.

9 Printing Pictures 1.If you don’t need an entire picture, use Microsoft Paint to crop it and print. 2.Go to “Start”, “All Programs”, “Accessories”, “Paint”.

10 1.You can either open previously saved
picture in Paint, or Copy – Paste a picture into Paint. 2. Use “Crop” option to choose what you need. Then can Copy – Paste your selection onto MS Word and print what you need.
