A wonderful cookie creation that you bake, Parents and teachers join as one To create an educated daughter or son. It takes lots of love, caring, and understanding, But an individual will emerge who is special notwithstanding. We will work together to help each child bloom, So they can grow and prosper in this room. So I share this little confection with you as I say, I am committed to helping your child grow each and every day. Yes, the road is long, but the journey has begun, As we strive to educate your daughter or your son.

3 Meet Ms. Payne Graduated from Oakland University with my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood. Taught fourth grade last year at Hamlin 27th year teaching in RCS…26th at Hamlin Enjoys music, reading, traveling, and being with friends and family

5 Morning Routine / Morning Meeting
Bell rings at 8:09… learning starts right away!! Lunch count / announcements Morning meeting starts at 8:30 to build teamwork and review behavior and curricular information

6 Reading Workshop Starts with a short mini-lesson to demonstrate a strategy Students read “just right” books Independent conferences and/or small strategy groups Concluded with a share or review of the skill that was taught

7 Literacy Centers Guided reading with teacher Handwriting / seatwork
