7 Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

8 The Value of the Mind Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived
Solomon subjected his mind to every thought known at his time The Value of the mind is strategic to how you will live the rest of your life “The mind is a terrible thing to waste!”

9 The Value of the Mind Our culture loves being amused but does very little musing. By nature we are lazy mentally and desire that someone else does the thinking for us. - Dr. John Goetsch

10

11 The Value of the Mind Our generation has failed to see the value of the mind! The television has done our thinking for us!

12

13 The Vanity of the Mind The word “vanity” means “empty”
In the world there is nothing new under the sun Each person starts with an empty mind at birth. We choose how we fill it

14 The Vulnerability of the Mind
The five senses are used to record memory in the mind These are the avenues that media uses to fill the mind

15 The Vexation of the Mind
The senses are never satisfied! The eye, the ear, the smell, the touch, the taste – The appetites of these are running wild! This opened the appetite for the development and success of the World Wide Web

19 The Victory over the Mind
Victory comes when you know where good and evil abide There is difference between Godly wisdom and madness/folly There is enough grief and sorrow with the wisdom and knowledge that we have to gain in this life without adding the vexation of madness and folly!

23

24 Do Not Dread Evil Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

25 Be Diligent to Identify Evil
Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth (“shields himself from it)himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

26 Refuse to be Deceived about Evil
1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

27 Pray for Deliverance from Evil
John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

28 Depart from Evil and do Good
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,

29 Defend against the Media Evil of the Day
2 Corinthians 10:5 b - “...and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
