Geometry Geo (earth) Metron (measure)
One of the oldest sciences. There are several types of geometry. We study Euclidian Geometry named after Euclid. He was a Greek that lived about 300 B.C. Gathered elementary parts of geometry in 13 books called “The Elements”. He is considered the “Father of Mathematics.”
