Loss of Money? It is very easy for a professional sports team to loose money. With player salaries at an extremely high rate, teams have to keep making more money each year to keep up with rising costs. This means arena's must get bigger and other costs, like food and merchandise must also rise. The problem with this if getting the people to still buy the products and to keep fans support with rising prices. Teams that struggle and don’t have the much success have troubles keeping steady profits, because of such low fan bases. The Toronto maple leafs have the most expensive regular season ticket price with an average of roughly $125. Compared to the NHL average ticket price of $61, and The Dallas Stars cheapest ticket price of $36. It Is very clear that teams with a bad location can really affect the money the team generates.
