Directions for Life Maps and Article Read
Life Map (40 minutes) -- Divide into groups of 3-4. -- Work on your individual life maps silently for minutes. -- Each person in the group highlights 4 important events in your life that have led you to where you are today. You can demonstrate them however you like (visually, words, etc.) Share out as time permits. Article Read (15 minutes) -- In groups of 3-4, divide the article and read/highlight. -- Depending on the size of the group, either jigsaw the reading, or go right to summarizing it as a group. -- Discuss what this means for you and what resonated with you. 11/21/2018

PLEASE PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO QUESTIONS REGARDING GENDER, ETHNICITY, LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY, POVERTY LEVELS, ETC. Please take a photo or keep your brainstorming questions in preparation for your school’s Winter Lead Retreat Part 2 in March. 11/21/2018
