2 Rome Today Population:2.8 million citizens
Rome was usually called the “Eternal City” Currency:100 cents = 1 euro Religion: 98% of Rome’s citizens are roman catholic.

3 Colosseum Emperors used the colosseum to entertain the public with games. Games were held for a whole day or even several days in a row. They usually started with comical acts and displays of exotic animals and ended with fights to the death between animals and gladiators or between gladiators. These fighters were usually slaves, prisoners of war or condemned criminals with games.

4 Stadio Olimpico The Stadio Olimpico is the largest sports facility in Rome. In 2007 there was a plan to remodel the stadium. The 1960 summer olympics were in this stadium. Also the 1990 FIFA World Cup was played here too.
