Tiny organelles that are either freely moving or in small clusters
They are found in all living cells

Prokaryotes: Free forms in cytoplasm and protoplasm
Eukaryotes: attached to the outer membrane of endoplasmic reticulum for use outside of cell

synthesis where they pair each codon
of the messenger RNA strand with the
appropriate amino acid.
