3 What is a Ribosome? Ribosomes are the protein builders of the cell.
Tiny organelles that are either freely moving or in small clusters They are found in all living cells

4 Where Are They Located Prokaryotes: Free forms in cytoplasm and protoplasm Eukaryotes: attached to the outer membrane of endoplasmic reticulum for use outside of cell

6 Function Their function in a cell is in protein
synthesis where they pair each codon of the messenger RNA strand with the appropriate amino acid.
