Stay in the Zone Pain lasts longer than 3-5 days Pain is severe or getting worse rather than better Your joint motion is limited Keep the work below shoulders and above knees. Hint: use ladders, adjust work tables Keep your elbows as close to your side as possible. Hint: move body instead of arm. If you are uncomfortable, stop and adjust or take a hand break Keep your wrist in a neutral position by changing your body position or how you hold the tool. Move close to an object rather than reach. Why is Early Reporting so Important? The earlier that signs and symptoms of MSD injury/illness are reported, the easier it is to treat and manage. The key to recovery from these injuries is early treatment and changing the root cause. It can mean less time away from activities, fewer trips to a health care provider, and avoidance of surgery or other complex medical procedures. Use the athlete approach: Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate if you do have temporary pain. EHS Stats FW YTD Days since last Rate Recordables DAFWC
