Testing i-Ready Testing
Students will take a fall, winter, and spring diagnostic. FSA and SSA will be paper based tests this school year. ELA FSA Common Core ELA Standards adopted as Language Arts Florida Standards (LAFS) This will include a writing sub portion, similar to last year. Math FSA Common Core Math Standards adopted as Mathematics Florida Standards (MAFS) Science SSA Next Generation Sunshine State Standards for Science Science FCAT assesses 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade standards at the end of the year.

Assignments = Classwork, Projects 20% Formative = Quizzes 30% Summative = Tests 50% Home Access Center – HAC ( for log on information) Tuesday folders Please sign and return by Thursday.

Grade recovery Any summative scores less than 70% can be recovered.
It is always the student’s responsibility to request recovery by asking their teacher for a “request to retest”. Must be recovered before the next summative.

Home learning Homework Study habits

Home learning Homework: Students will receive a limited amount of homework this year. The students should be working on math problems every night, as well as reading. Study habits: Most of their homework will be to study for upcoming quizzes and tests.
