Internship Process It’s never too early to start preparing.
92% of students hired for full-time jobs had at least one internship or co-op experience during their college career (based on 2014 Senior Survey data). Long, intimidating process but if taken step by step, can be made a lot easier. Workshops are geared to assist you as you go, starting with the easy stuff and working our way up to interviewing/networking.

Formatting Length: 1 Page
Margins: Typically 1 inch but can be half-inch if needed Font: Between size (Headings can be larger than bullet points) Consistent. Use a plain-type font like times-new roman Black Spacing: Constant Good Quality Paper Chronological Order (typically). Functional also works

Resume Tips Main goal: Describing how your experiences and education are relevant for the position Got to impress 2 people: the computer and the recruiter (30 sec to impress them) To the point yet descriptive Don’t lie- not worth it! Smeal Corporate Connections, Vmock, other tools and services

Practice! Practice! Practice! Mock Career Fairs/ Interview Practices Read up on companies descriptions Greet and step away with a firm handshake Eye contact- look at the person for a majority of the time- if you’re reading pamphlets or information look up every once and a while Maintain a subtle smile to show interest Have good posture, no leaning, sitting, or swinging Speak clearly, audibly, and enthusiastically
