6 Case study Here is what an Outreach East participant, Chinua Johnson had to say about the project. “I had some work experience from a few paid roles and had been doing some volunteering. I kept applying for jobs and I would get interviews but the outcome was always negative. I joined the Outreach East Project while I continued to apply for jobs. I got help to update my CV, guidance on how to complete application forms and most importantly for me help, with my interview technique. I had a number of mock interviews which really improved my confidence. I am now in a full-time permanent paid role, I am really enjoying my job and have developed a lot of new skills. I would recommend the Outreach East Project to anyone who is looking to get tailored support to get back into work, improve their skills and build their confidence. I am really glad that I engaged with the project”. Chinua Johnson
