2. Pedalfer Found in the Eastern half of the U.S.
Places that receive more than 60 cm of rain each year.
Large amounts of iron oxide and aluminum rich clays.
Brown or red color.

3. Pedocal Western United States with grass/bush vegetation.
Typically light gray to brown.
Abundance of calcite.

4. Laterite Found in hot, wet, tropical areas.
Usually has an orange or red color.
Found in south and southeast Asia.
