1. Activity Title: Combustion Reaction of Ethanol Summary: Students will learn how to measure the characteristics of a Combustion Reaction using image processing. Flame color will be an observation with real world applications. Students will also visualize how dynamic burning a volatile gas can be and make quantitative comparisons to real world explosions.

After doing the calculations students will use Microsoft Moving Maker to analyze an ethanol explosion using 3 different volumes of ethanol.
Students will also have the opportunity to investigate what causes different flame colors after viewing the videos and visiting a website.
