How many people studied for the test? How many people passed the test? Make a table of the results.

A two-way table shows the observed frequencies for two categories of data collected from the same subjects. You read the row and column to get your answers.

You randomly survey students at your school asking whether they are right-handed or left-handed. The results of the survey are shown in the two-way table. How many of the students surveyed are female and left-handed? Find and interpret the sum of each row and column in the table.

The results of a survey regarding individuals and the flu shot are below.
How many people who got the flu shot also got the flu? How many people who didn’t get the flu also didn’t get the flu shot?
