2. WHAT ARE AMERICAN shorthair cats?
The female cats is about twelve pounds.
The males are about fifteen pounds.
They have 80 different colors.
This is what they look like.

3. How do they behave? They like to play with people.
They are friendly to people.
They are athletic.

4. Where did they come from?
They first arrived with European Settlers.
These cat were on the Mayflower to catch mice and rats.
They soon arrived to a new world.

5. How do take care of this cat?
This cat is a neat animal.
This cats water and food is in a quiet spot.
This cat can clean it’s self with it’s tongue.
Someone is cleaning it.

6. What do they eat? This cat is a meat eater. You’ll need fresh water.
Kittens drink milk.
This cat is on the table for food.

7. What do the kittens look like?
The adult is pregnant for 63 to 65 days.
It has four kittens each litter.
Kittens are deaf and blind when they are born.
This is the little kitten.

8. How do they live? This cat can live up to fifteen to 20 years.
This cat is on of the top ten popular breeds.
If it has gleaming fur, bright eyes, clean ears and nose it is healthy.
This is a kitten in a basket.
