Indications for antibiotics. Resistance / HCAI’s. Start Smart then Focus. Antibiotic specific selection criteria. Health Board tools for prudent antibiotic prescribing. Penicillin allergies.

Important cautions / contra-indications.
Renal impairment. Hepatic impairment. Interactions. Side-effects. TDM – gentamicin and vancomycin. CASE STUDIES.
