Absences & Tardies Upon returning to school, the student must bring a note from a parent or doctor explaining the reason for the absence. Home Learning Policy & Student Planners Parents and students can expect homework assignments to be given 2-3 nights a week Journal Writing, Reading assignments (on-line), Drawing / Tracing assignments, Handouts (teacher provided), Review class notes / Study Skills Late assignments will NOT be accepted without a valid reason or in cases of emergency; and at teachers discretion. STUDENT PLANNERS Students are encouraged to use the student planners provided by the school. Parents may communicate with teachers via a note in the planner.

Teacher-Parent Communication Parents can communicate, in writing, with the teacher via email or the student planner. Teacher/parent conferences can be held by phone, via email, or in person. Conference with individual teachers/counselor = call the school and leave a message requesting the teacher/counselor to contact you. Or email the teacher/counselor directly. Team conference (ALL teachers, team leader, counselor, and administrator) = call the school and request a team conference. The team leader will contact you to schedule a date.
