Students from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan are allowed to attend QSI schools.

4 REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR FALL 2014 1.Complete Application Packet 2.Interview with the Schools Director 3.Pay Registration Fee 4.New Students (6yo-Secondary Tested) Preschool class sizes: 15 maximum Elementary & Secondary: 20 maximum Important Note: Some ages already have waiting lists for August 2014.

6 QSI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF ZHUHAI Elementary Program : 5 -13 year olds 8:30-3:00 (Monday-Friday) 8:30-4:00 (TR) – After School Activities Intensive English classes All instruction in English Teacher and Paraprofessional (5yo-7yo)

7 TYPICAL ELEMENTARY SCHEDULE 1. Reading 2. Language Arts 3. Mathematics 4. Chinese 5. Science & Cultural Studies 6. Art, Music 7. Technology, Library, Physical Education 8. After School Activities (Tuesday & Thursday) All 5-13 year olds have the same subjects the first 3 periods. This allows for moving students into ability levels.

15 Mathematics-10: Essential Unit 7 Essential Outcomes: (must be assessed for mastery) Problem solving and higher order thinking components are essential for A level mastery. 1. The Student Will apply unit skills and concepts to real world application problems. 2. TSW multiply fractions and whole numbers. 3. TSW multiply fractions. 4. TSW multiply mixed numbers. 5. TSW solve problems using the strategy guess, check, and revise. 6. TSW divide a whole number by a fraction and a fraction by a whole number. 7. TSW represent division by drawing diagrams and writing story problems and equations. This is the material the teacher will teach. This is the material that will be evaluated.
