The Personal Journal
2
Welcome to the world of self-discovery…
…of developing ideas, of problem solving….in other words welcome to the Personal Journal. “The what?”, you ask.
3
The Personal Journal: As your teacher has explained, this Journal is a record of your views, opinions, and feelings about topics, ideas, and events. It is also a means of deciding if change is desirable, and how it could come about.
4
The Personal Journal is nothing to be
afraid of.
5
How do I start?

Well, Hook onto an idea and
7
let yourself go
8
The Personal Journal will help you to find an answer.
A simple approach to writing an entry in your Journal is to ask yourself, “How or what do I feel about (topic)?” After deciding the “whats” and the “hows” of your feelings, you may ask yourself, “Is there anything I want to change?” The Personal Journal will help you to find an answer.
9
Why write down ideas? Some reasons are: -as you see your thoughts and ideas on paper, you can begin to more fully understand yourself.
10
-writing about problems leads to solutions by way of understanding what created the problem, and why it continues. -by examining your actions and the activity of others, you will discover what makes people different.
11
“What should I write about?”
“There’s nothing to write about.”
