Later became President of the United States.

Confederate General
Considered to be Robert E. Lee’s Right Hand Man
Died after the Battle of Chancellorsville

5. William Tecumseh Sherman
Union General
February 8, 1820 – February 14, 1891
Known for his “March on the Sea”, which destroyed much of the South.

6. Jefferson Davis President of the Confederate States.
Did not want to be the President of the Confederacy.
