What did you say? Non-technical students gain the sense of accomplishment which comes from mastering a skill they originally believed was beyond their ability. And our physics students learn to incorporate a valuable analysis tool that they will continue to use whether they choose to pursue a graduate degree or work in industry. set of linear equations our program in geology has a tendency to attract math-phobic students Speed students are asked to do some practice problems together in groups. I have very little time in the course to teach MATLAB. getting a student comfortable with scientific computing as a regular tool prepares them for realizing the importance of lower level languages when they later encounter them simple code involving loops with conditional statements not spreadsheet software Action: Let’s use the easel to capture ones you want to learn more about
