2. How are Economics Teachers Prepared and Certified in Georgia?

3. Teachers are certified in Georgia based on completion of an approved initial preparation program.

4. Program approval is based on meeting the Georgia 2000 Standards for the Approval of Professional Education Units and Programs.

5. Program approval process includes
Expert panel assessment of whether disciplinary content meets the PSC content standards.
Onsite peer review of the Educator Preparation Unit and the program to determine whether all standards are met.
