Bio. Expatriate Self-exiled critic of American life
During WWII lived in Italy and supported Mussolini’s policies; was very anti-Semitic Taken prisoner by Americans and charged with treason Found mentally incompetent and sent to a hospital for the criminally insane After 12 years exiled to Italy where he later died.

Imagism “Make it new” Similar to Haiku Concentrates on direct presentation of images, or word pictures using exact words Freezes a single moment in time & captures the emotion of that moment Use language of everyday speech Gives no explanation
