Energy is our topic Assigned September 23rd DUE November 30th 2016

OVER THE BREAK YOUR Homework:
What is Energy? Think about energy. If you are having trouble coming up with a topic for your science fair project consider choosing one of the following to investigate. You can build off of this topic and create your hypothesis with dependent and independent variables from these starters. Decide on how energy is used and how it is transformed (changed) from one form to another. Describe what happens as a result of the energy. What moving objects can I create and assemble to demonstrate the energy? • When you drop a tennis ball to the ground, why doesn’t it return to its initial height? • How much electrical energy is wasted as heat by an incandescent light globe? • How does ceiling insulation keep your house warmer in winter? • Where does a firefly get the energy to light up? • How do glow-in-the-dark stickers work? • How does a didgeridoo player create its unique sound?
