Be All You Can Be Lesson Seven
MAN UP BIBLE SERIES Be All You Can Be Lesson Seven
2
The Real World Integrity is a something we all want from each other but rarely offer it ourselves. We see it played out on TV each night as one politician after another falls off the bandwagon of integrity. What would you do for a million dollars; was the question recently and there was very little that a man will not do for financial security. In a recent study employees admitted to wasting eight hours a week in time that they report working but are not actually productive. Where are the good old days when men stood by what they promised. Our word is our bond just is not reality any longer. The highest cost outside of supplies and employee in American business today is theft from employees and customers. The truth is that American culture is in a big decline and the blame hits us as men right between the eyes.

The Real Word Psalms 15 “Lord who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on Your holy Hill? He whose walk is blameless And does what is righteous, Who speaks the truth from his heart And has no slander on his tongue, Who does his neighbor no wrong And cast no slur on his fellow man, Who despises a vile man But honors those who fear the Lord.”

Real Talk What small Fib are you telling yourself is all right? How is this culture you are living in affecting your integrity? Are you willing to pay the price to be a man of Integrity?

Real Steps What we can learn from Psalm 15 about Integrity:
Face of Integrity: Tell the truth; always. (Eph. 4:13) Never Cheat (Prov.20;10) Never Steal (Prov. 11:1) Keep you word. (Psalm 15:4) Stand up for your convictions no matter what. (Gal:5:22) Benefits of Integrity: Character Conscience (Prov.:10:9) Transparency – Between you and God. (Psalm 51:6) Heritage of Integrity. Goes on for generations. (Prov.20:7)

Time To Close Being a man of Integrity is going to be really hard work! We know that a line must be drawn somewhere and rather than trying to find that line ourselves lets look to God’s Word as the standard to live by. Living a life that is filled with lies is a slippery slope that reminds me of the old potato chip commercial, “No one can have just one.” Once our lives are filled with lies there is no way back except to come to God and surrender our lives to his way. Sow an act and it becomes a habit, Sow a habit and it becomes your character, Sow a Character and it becomes your destiny. If it is good or bad this is what you pass on for generations to come. This is why it is so important that we determine as men to do things God’s way. Today is the first day of your new destiny. Time to MAN UP!
