4. What is Effective Delivery?
Effective delivery basically can consist of Practice which helps you become more familiar with the material so you can inspire your audience’s trust and confidence.
You also have to assert yourself with posture and presence. Its not good to apologize for something you said or not being on time with your presentation.
Lastly you need to make contact with your audience, these types of contact can range from Eye contact, Gestures, Spoken Contact, and use language you're familiar with.

5. The Types of Delivery
Manuscript Method - You write out you material word for word and then deliver your speech from a lectern or a stand used to hold papers.
Memorized Method - Commit every word of your speech to memory. You use no notes and have no papers to place on the lectern.
Extemporaneous Method - You don’t write out your speech word for word, nor do you commit the words to memory.
Impromptu Method – Involves speaking spontaneously, or off the cuff, usually for a relatively short time . With this method you have a small amount of time to prepare.

6. Using Your Voice
You have a power source, which is the energy that makes things go, but this source makes you the entire vocal process.
Then we have Rate, and this the pace or speed at which we speak . The Average speaking rate per minute is approximately 120 to 180 words per minute.
If speakers speak to rapidly the audiences don’t have time to understand fully what is being said. This makes the speech completely unclear.
Your pitch is the vocal note that you hit while speaking, the highs and lows of your voice. If you use monotone then you completely bore everyone in the audience, so avoid doing so.
Lastly you have Volume, is the loudness or softness of your voice.

7. Using Your Voice Continued..
Articulation refers to the crispness, the distinctness, with which we say the syllables in a word.
Pronunciation refers to saying the sounds of a word properly and stressing the correct syllable or syllables.

8. Using Your Body
Platform Movement usually is for a sense of rhythm, which means to walk in a purposeful manner from one spot to another while speaking.
Don’t pace back and forth as if you are a duck in a shooting gallery.
Don’t wander, or take strolls from spot to spot with no purpose.
Don’t avoid movement because you are afraid you will look silly.
Gestures are another way to communicate nonverbally. They are known for being actions in which the body or parts of the body move to express an idea or emotion.
Learn the Gesture zone which is an imaginary box in front of you
Learn to “ Lift and Lay” your hands and the parts of this is the “Flyaway” gesture , “Penguin-Wave” gesture and the “Judo-Chop”
Lastly is Practice the “String” Idea which is to analyze people as they speak and watch them explain their ideas.

9. Using Your Face
First we have The Eyes, this is the way that the audience will primarily judge you. And this happens through you making eye contact with them and getting your point across.
Next we have Audience Feedback which is a result form good eye contact with members of your audience , this allows you to see how they are reacting to what you are saying. Now you can read the their facial expressions.
And for the last thing we have Dynamizing your overall delivery, which is basically executing everything we discussed in this power point. We talked about using your voice and speaking clearly, and also articulating your words.
