Multi-Ion Kit Product Demonstration
Multi-Ion Kit Product Demonstration
2
Step 1. Condition the probe
Step 1. Condition the probe - for 5 minutes if the probe is used regularly. - for 1 hour if used infrequently.
3
When the conditioning process is complete, rinse the probe in the de-ionized water. Do not leave the probe in the de-ionized water.
4
Dry the probe before starting the Calibration.
Shake the excess water from the probe…..
5
…..and dry the outer body of the probe.
6
Step 2. Calibration Press the OK button on the meter
and select the Calibrate Option.
7
The wizard will guide you through the calibration process
8
Place the probe in the first solution and press the ok/menu button on the meter.
9
A timer will count down from 60 seconds……..
11
After 60 seconds, you will be prompted to
place the probe in the next solution.
12
Before doing this, dry the outer body of the probe……
13
……then place in the next solution
14
Place the probe into the third calibration bottle to complete the calibration. Remember to dry the outer body of probe beforehand!
15
When the calibration is complete, the meter will display the calibration results.
16
If you see an NG (Not Good), do the following checks…….
Was the probe conditioned beforehand? Were the calibration bottles used in the correct order? Did you shake the calibration solutions before starting the calibration? Was the 10ml section of the bottles refilled with fresh solution? Is the correct calibration solution selected in the meter? (Press the ok/menu button, select Setup and Select Solutions. The selected name should match the name on the bottles. ……..Repeat the calibration process.
17
Step 3. Take a Sample Before taking a sample, rinse the probe in de-ionized water…..
18
…..and dry the outer body of the probe
19
When prompted place the probe in the sample and press the ok button on the meter.
20
The countdown from 60 seconds will start…….
22
…..After 60 seconds, the values (either in ppm or mmol/l) will be displayed on the screen.
23
- To save sample readings. Press the save button on the meter.
Select a location from 1 to 50 and press the ok/menu button.
24
Before taking another sample, rinse the probe in de-ionized water……
25
……..dry the outer body of the probe.
26
…and place in the sample.
Never leave the probe in a sample for longer than a minute!
27
Step 4. Storage Before storing the probe, rinse it in de-ionized water.
28
Dry the outer body of the probe.
29
Replace the cap and store in the case.
The probe should be stored dry!
30
Important Information to Remember!
Never leave the probe sitting in de-ionized water. Dry the outer body of the probe before moving from one calibration solution to the next. Rinse the probe in de-ionized water between samples. Never leave the probe sitting in the sample. Never touch the tip of the probe. Never place the probe in any solution that does not contain the target ions. Do not place the probe in strong acid or alkaline solutions. Do not place the probe in any detergents, surfactants or PVC solutions. Do not expose the probe to very high or very low temperatures.
