The Munich Putsch: Causes
WEIMAR WEAKNESSES The constitution and opposition to it made the government weak Invasion and inflation made the government VERY weak in 1923. September 1923, Stresemann called off the strike in the Ruhr. This made EVERY German angry! NAZI PARTY WAS GROWING Crises of 1923, meant Nazi Party membership grew (55,000 members). The Nazi Stormtroopers (SA) grew quickly, and wanted a revolution Hitler became friends with General Ludendorff (WWI hero) = might get support of the army Mussolini’s Example In 1922, Mussolini had seized control of the government of Italy by marching on Rome. Label each reason 1 to 3, based on how important you think each reason is for causing the Munich Putsch. Be prepared to justify your answer. Write down in order of importance

Revision Grids The revision grids include all the content from the specification. You fill them in using your knowledge, your exercise book, the textbook and internet research. You can either fill in a copy by hand or you can download a copy off the blog and complete it digitally (typing, cutting and pasting, importing pictures of your work). Support sessions on Fridays will be concentrating on helping you fill in these grids in preparation for the mock in December. It is important that you work on these grids outside lessons and keep going over the material to help you remember the content.
