Now Chibozu from Kazungwe in Zambia has a smile of joy on her face. But it wasn’t always like this. Three years ago the situation in her village was truly desperate. Chibozu is pictured with her husband: Ngebe.

6 The only place they had to draw water from was a dirty well
The only place they had to draw water from was a dirty well. Whenever they drank from it or used it for washing, children would fall ill. Chibozu felt dirty all the time.

7 Then BICC drilled a borehole in their village
Then BICC drilled a borehole in their village. It provides clean water for them, and their animals. They are much healthier. They also did hygiene training with BICCZ, so lots of people have their own toilet now.
