She wanted to work for justice, or fair treatment of all people. Anthony was an abolitionist and was friends with Frederick Douglass.

Important Facts Anthony worked with Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Stanton wrote speeches and Anthony would read those speeches at conventions. Started an anti-slavery grouped called the Women’s National Loyal League. Women won the right to vote in Anthony did NOT live to see women win the right to vote.
