6. Occupational Therapy Help patients who need assistance in basic skills
Was emotional, inspiring and heart warming
Fun and welcoming environment
The staff are very motivational and I am so awed on how much they push their patients to succeed
Nichole was amazing, very informational and helped us understand everything and she showed us the equipment room

7. Speech Therapy
Observed patients participate in games and activities including memory, voice, swallowing, and scanning to the left
Speech deals with more than just language it involves: swallowing, memory, movement, and the brain (right/left hemisphere)
It was very emotional, inspirational, and memorable experience
Wonderful staff and very patient
Amber and Jennifer are amazing therapists

8. Mother & Baby Care Unit I experienced a C-Section and a Natural Birth
it was the best experience and my most memorable moment.
I learned so much on pregnancy and labor
Kriste thanks for all your knowledge
Observed the nursery and saw babies
The doctors were very helpful and explained the procedures especially Dr. Mellum

9. Radiology
They take images of the body that help with procedure and also with diagnoses
Allowed to see many different machines used in radiology
CT-scan
X-ray machines
MRI machine
SPECT machine
Observed a supra stent placement procedure and also a test looking for abnormalities in the heart with the SPECT machine.
Staff was amazing, nice, fun, and very informative – especially Jarred

10. Experience More difficult than anticipated
Gained a lot of knowledge and experience
Didn’t expect to be touched personally and emotionally
Learned new social skills
Helped me come out of my personal bubble
Eye opening and life changing
Might want to pursue in Radiology

11. Experience
My expectations were surpassed by miles, I thought that students were not allowed to help or touch anything, just observe, but HESI amazed me I actually got to help and communicate with staff and patients
I attained knowledge in every department
Might want to pursue a career as a OB/GYN
