‘Adequate’ quantity of meal served in all surveyed schools with mdm program. Double fortified salt used in 32 schools, not used in rest 11 schools. Student’s Perception: Quality of Meal Served

Menu & Display of Information at Prominent Place
In 12 schools SHG members, in 2 schools block officials, in 22 schools HM (with other teachers and MCMs) and in rest of the schools both teachers and cook-cum-helpers decide the menu. Menu includes locally available items in majority of (41) schools.

Infrastructure: Pucca kitchen-cum-store
MDM prepared within classroom in 6 schools, within office room in 1 school and in temporary kitchen in rest 3 schools (where pucca kitchen-cum-store is not available). In 30 schools, kitchen-cum-stores found in hygienic condition, properly ventilated and away from classrooms. MDM cooked by firewood in most (38) of the schools.
