Pastor Mark’s core values he brings into our culture
Faith is always positive (so be positive instead of negative) (Hebrews 11:1). Build people up, instead of putting them down (Ephesians 4:29). Foster healthy relationships and people skills (Ephesians 4 et al). The greatest is love and everything must be done with love (I Corinthians 13:13). Unity is a gift from God that we are to preserve since the number one thing God hates is discord. (Prov. 6:16-19).

Hebrews 11:1 Faith is core to Christianity.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The Greek word for “hope” is New Testament usage is always used in positive expectation of good things.

Hebrews 11:1 Algebra’s Transitive Property of Equality. … if A=B, B=C, then A=C. A=B Hope is always positive. B=C Faith is the substance of things hoped for. A=C Therefore, Faith is always positive. A negative Christian is an oxy- moron.

The Negative Disposition of Man
Part of the fall and the sinful nature. One of the words for “sin” is kakos. This is the disposition of sin which is being negative. Spiritual weapon of the enemy.

The Christian Call to Faith
Hebrews 11:6. Without positive faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore, applying deductive reasoning, being negative displeases God. God is a rewarder of positive faith.
