The Holy Spirit is also called the Comforter, Helper, or Advocate
from the Greek word Parakletos = one who comes alongside to plead the case before the judge. (John 14:16,26, John 15:26)

Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit……..You have not lied to men but to God." Acts 5:3-4

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! Heb. 9:14

Omnipresent Where can I go from your Spirit?
In both the heavens and the depths, you are there. Psalm 139:7-8

The Spirit lives in me. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body-- whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free--and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. I Cor. 12:13

The Spirit lives in me. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. Romans 8:9

The Holy Spirit gives each believer at least one spiritual gift.
Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. I Cor. 12:7

Our Job Have our minds set on what the Spirit desires
Have our minds controlled by the Spirit Put to death the sins of the body Be yielded to God

The Spirit’s Job Gives life Sets you free. Gives peace.
Makes us belong to Christ Leads us Provides adoption to Sonship Assurance of salvation

The righteous requirements of the law are fully met in us.
Romans 8:4

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Romans 8:11

Be filled with the Spirit
Eph. 5:18 An ongoing process of surrendering and yielding to the Lord.

To be filled means that: Desire to be filled
Denounce sin in your life. Dedicate yourself fully to Him. Depend daily on the Spirit

Why it is reasonable to fully yield to God:
1. He is 100% all wise and knows what is best for me. 2. He is 100% all powerful to do what is best for me. 3. He 100% loves me and cares for what is best for me.
