3 Purpose Provide expanded experience and education to the percussion students of the band program and assistance into the high school programs Continue to promote the students of Karns Middle band throughout the remaining middle school years

4 David Smelser - BIO Director, Project Management Office – IT Consulting Firm Registered All Levels Volunteer with Knox County Schools Performer from Middle school through College and Drum and Bugle Corps Instructor and Judge for Percussion, Visual (Marching), Color Guard, and Winds Pride of the Southland Alumn Previously judged across the Gulf Coast for Indoor and Field activities for Gulf Cost Judges Association Currently scheduled for Percussion Visual/Visual Effect judge with Southeastern Color Guard Circuit Instructional Staff for Hardin Valley Academy

7 Clinic/Auditions Participation is open to all percussionists and wind players within the Karns Middle School Band Program and those that participated during the inaugural season (2016) Membership will be based on audition results, attitude, and previous in class participation (director) Goal: 25 members Not to exceed 30 members

Second installment of $80 due on 12/18/17 Shoe purchase ($35) due on 12/18/17 Final installment of $64 due on 1/6/18 **Any residual monies from the budget will be used for the participants in the indoor percussion ensemble**
