Please let Mrs. Morgan know if you have questions Grammar and Writing-Correlative conjunctions, using commas in our writing, Informative Writing Math- Adding and Subtracting Factions and Mixed Numbers Science- Human Intervention on Destructive Forces Our 4H Day has been rescheduled for January 4H service projects-We are collecting pop tabs Word Study Quiz Friday, December 8 ‘trans’ words = send transmit –to send something across places Intermission –a break between plays where people are sent out for snacks or stretching mission –a special duty or function which a person is sent out to do dismiss –to send someone out; let leave submit –to send yourself under someone else’s rule or control remit –to send back (usually paying bills) emit –to send off or give off an odor missile –a weapon designed to be sent in the direction of a target omit –to leave out; to not send admit –to send someone in Walking in a Winter Wonderland-Dress Down Days Dec. 15-Polar Express PJ’s Day-Dress in nice pajamas and appropriate shoes. Dec. 18-Redneck Christmas Day-Dress in red/green solid or plaid shirts, bandanas, jeans, and boots Dec. 19-Christmas Outfit Day-Dress to impress on party day in your BEST Red, Green, and White Mrs. Edwards’ Homeroom-Don’t forget to sign up for Christmas Party donations. Research Project This nine weeks we have been learning about how to research and the best sources to find information. We will conclude this unit by completing a research paper. The research has been completed in class. On December 14, at 1:30, , we will have our wax museum where the students will dress as their historical person and display their display board for the school to see. The “secret” word is silent night. Whisper this word to Mrs. Morgan or Mrs. Edwards for a treat. The board will be completed at home. Please let me know if you have questions.
