Discuss the key element to designing an active learning speaking activity Discuss factors to consider in designing a speaking activity Analyze an oral communication lesson in the textbook of English language for a certain grade by clear criteria and make the necessary planning adjustments. Suggest different solutions for developing and assessing an oral communication competence for that specific grade. Objectives of Day 3

CRITERIA Analyze an oral communication lesson in an English language textbook. Use the following criteria: Is the structure of the lesson clear? Is the lesson related to the specific competence that should be developed? Are the students asked to experience and exercise real oral communication? How many students are actively involved in the lesson at any one time? What kind of resources/stimuli could be used in this lesson? Interesting? Fun? Does it Create a Real Learning Situation ? 2) How is it inclusive? How do you get a lot of students involved?
