History of IAWP/IAWRP 2010 – Adoption of 2009-99 in MBB
- Speak on rationale. 2011 – IAWP expanded to strength coaches. – Interpretive and process authority for IAWP resided in ENF transitioned to AMA. “During the past five years, the interpretive approach has shifted from strict liability to a more fact-based, rule of reason application, without compromising the original intent of the rule. Staff has been less likely to make a determination whether an individual meets the IAWP legislation, and, in many instances, has focused instead on providing guidance to the membership, recognizing that schools are in the best position to gather the necessary facts.” 2017 – Adoption of IAWP/IAWRP Legislation in MFB and WBB.
