History Discovered in 1872 by George Huntington. Shortly after the “rediscovery” of mendellian genetics. Huntington discovered the disorder after observing similar symptoms in certain family members.

What is it? Huntington's Disease is a progressive neurodegenetive genetic disorder. It affects certain cognitive functions and muscle coordination. It begins to show at middle age.

Diagnosis And Treatment
It can be diagnosed by a doctor using 4 methods: Examination Genetic Testing Embryonic testing There is no cure, however; Tetrabenazine can be used to manage symptoms.
