2. Graphite
Graphite is a common mineral found in a lot of items that we commonly use. Graphite is found in batteries and we all know that batteries are in every thing these days. So, with out graphite think about how modernized our world would be! Graphite is also found in pencils, telephones, and strangely golf clubs.

3. Pyrite
Pyrite was more popular back in the 1800 because pyrite was used to create ammunition. Pyrite is also used in radio receivers. Before T.Vs were flat screened and wireless, they use to have “ cat whisker” antennas

4. Gold
Gold is in most computers because it is a very strong conductor. Gold is also some times used in fillings in your teeth (if you’ve ever gotten a filling because of a cavities). A lot of coin collectors have golden coins. Golden coins can cost up to 3,175 dollars. In % of Americas gold consumption went to jewelry. That’s a lot of bracelets!

5. Aluminum
Aluminum cuts into very small sheets and is used to keep your food fresh. The flimsy metal is sold in long thick tubes. Aluminum is used for the outside shell for airplanes. Most power lines cables are made of aluminum because of its low density its preferred for cables.

6. Copper
Believe it or not, The Statue of Liberty is made out of copper. But, because of weather and climate, it has turned from brown to blueish green. Copper is also used for wiring in things such as computers and alarm clocks. Copper is also used for power lines.

7. Halite
In Georgia halite is found in north eastern hemisphere. Halite is commonly referred to as table salt. Halite/salt is pored on icy roads when black ice I reported in roads. Halite is likely found in dry areas.

8. Gypsum
Gypsum is a main ingredient for every thing building. Gypsum is used to make fertilizer if your lawn needs doctoring. Gypsum is also used to make plaster if your walls need to be patched if you have a water leak or if you have to re model a house. Lastly, gypsum is used to make sheet rock for your house.

9. Talc
Talc is a very breakable mineral. Its main uses are paper making, talc can also be used to make paint coatings and crayons. Its basically the mineral of the art world. But, talc doesn't just make colorful creations it also can help with chafing, talcum powder will do the trick!

10. Tungsten
Tungsten is adaptable to high temperatures so its ideal for making steel beams and any thing that involves hot furnaces. Some drill bits and nails are made of tungsten so that the nails don’t bind. But, tungsten’s main purpose is light blubs! You may not know it but tungsten is the Wisk inside of light blubs.

11. Zink
Zink is a very old mineral its history dates back to 1786 when German chemists were associated with the mineral while working with different metals. Zink is also big in the make up industry. Zink is in eye lipstick, chap stick, and sunscreen.
