Why do I need to know this?
To set prices for baby sitting or chores. If you charge a flat fee for taking out the trash for a week, some weeks you will do more work and get paid the same. You need an equation to make the amount of work equal to the amount of pay. Does anyone have an example of when using an equation would be beneficial to them?
