Many environmental triggers Smoke, noises, stress, lights Serotonin regulates Vasodilation (Decreased 5HT) Vasoconstriction (Increased 5HT) Treatments Abortive when migraine occurs Pain killers, ibuprofen, NSAIDS, Prophylactic when abortive treatment does not work beta andrenergic blockers, metaprolol, nadodol, 5Ht antgonists (Ergatol etc)
