18. 3x the Medical Bills? Colossus doesn’t even figure in the medical bills when determining the settlement offer. What happens is, all the points (especially with the multipliers) are added up, then a dollar value is figured based on the points, then the medical bills are simply added on at the end (a 1x factor). 21. Anxiety & Depression Must be “treated” Colossus considers them “treated” if the patient does exercise, medicates, avoid stressful activities, and rests in bed. Hmmm… home exercises, gym exercises, and in-office exercises can be used as a 3x multiplier for nearly every injury the patient has.

22. Cane/Orthotics Big points are awarded if the doctor prescribes the use of a cane, crutches, or orthotics. If the patient has a “difficulty walking” diagnosis, any of these might be useful. Orthotics are easy to prescribe and use. It is a form of “stabilization”

23. TENS Units Big points are awarded when the doctor prescribes a TENS unit for home use. If used 7 days a week, it is “intensive.” If used >90 days, it is “prolonged.” At $50 wholesale cost, sell them at $75 to $100.
