Huangdi and Yandi Ancestors of Chinese People
2
Huangdi and Yandi Around 5000 years ago, there were different tribes lived in central China (Shanxi Province, Heibei Province and adjacent areas). Huangdi (黄帝) and Yandi(炎帝) were leaders of two tribes in the ancient time. Chinese people call themselves “Offspring of Huang and Yan”. Huangdi and Yandi fought with each other, and Huangdi won.
3
Huangdi and Yandi During that time, people learned how to build houses, boats, wagons, etc. Leizu (缧祖) was Huangdi’s wife, who found ways to raise silkworms. After that, people learned how to make clothes with silk. It’s believed that the lunar calendar was created at that time. It’s believed that written language already exited, but it didn't come down to us.
