3 A Healthy Fear And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matt 10:28 (NKJV) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Prov 1:7 (NKJV) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Prov 9:10 (NKJV)

10 Conclusion We should maintain a healthy fear of God, revering Him & His ways. There are some fears that are unhealthy. We can overcome those through confidence in God & His ways. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7 (NKJV)

11 WHAT MUST I DO TO BE A CHRISTIAN?
Jesus taught obedience (Matt. 7:21-23; 28:20; Lk. 6:46)  Jesus taught that unless we believe in Him, we will die in our sins (Jn. 10:31-39)  He taught repentance (Lk. 13:3; 24:46-47)  He taught confessing Him before others (Matt. 10:32- 33)  He taught baptism as a necessity (Mk. 16:15-16; Matt. 28:19-20; Jn. 3:5)  He teaches faithfulness unto death (Rev. 2:10)
