Rightside – Prophix story
Operating since: Unknown Head office: Kirkland, Washington Annual revenue: $180 million Number of employees: Unknown G/L or ERP: Oracle Company website: Company background: Rightside inspires and delivers on new possibilities in digital identity. Our domain name services platform provides the entry point for individuals and organizations to define themselves and tell their stories online. With industry standards like eNom®, name.com®, and NameJetTM, Rightside is your one-stop-shop for domain registration, web hosting, and aftermarket domain . Business problems that lead to evaluating CPM, adopting Prophix: Rightside officially filed to spin off of Demand Media as a separate public entity and are targeting an effective date by end of Q2. Demand Media set them up with an instance of Oracle for their GL but they were on their own with respect to developing a solution for budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting and consolidation. Demand Media was using FSG and their experience was that it was painful to use for anything other than consolidated level reporting. Entity level reporting and analysis were being done in Excel.

Rightside – Prophix story
Business problems that lead to evaluating CPM, adopting Prophix: The SVP Corporate Controller, Keith Baker, previously used TM1 and the CFO Tracy Knox had some previous experience with Prophix at Drugstore.com Critical factors in winning the deal were our ease of use by finance and flexible phased deployment options. Initial scope of implementation will be Financial Consolidation and Reporting to help get them up and running with their regulatory reporting responsibilities. Budgeting, forecasting, detailed planning, KPI analysis should soon follow. The Demand Media team has traditionally never let anyone read information directly from Oracle so Rightside will be breaking away from this practice for integration with Prophix. Between calls with Terrence Singh, and our work with Myriad Genetics we were able to demonstrate and build confidence in our ability to integrate with Oracle.
