2 Why should 802.11g ER/OFDM Max input signal level requirement be different than that of CCK?
Per , the b CCK received maximum input level is –10 dBm Per the proposed , the g ER/OFDM maximum input level is limited to –20 dBm WHY?? At 2.4GHz, transmit levels are the same for CCK and ER/OFDM Propagation loss is the same for both Minimum desired separation between devices is the same (I.e., Ad-Hoc networking around a conference table) Should be the same for both! 3 Motion for IEEE802.11g Receiver Maximum Input Level:
Change to read as follows: The Packet Error Rate shall be less than 10% at a PSDU length of 1000 bytes for a maximum input level of –10dBm measured at the antenna for any modulation signal or rate (I.e., 1,2,5.5,6,9,11,12,18,22,24,33,36,48,54 Mbps). Drayt Avera, RF Solutions
